Rostrevor was described in Murray’s Handbook for Travellers in 1896 as “sweetest little watering hole to be found in the three Kingdoms, and one of the most beautiful spots in the whole of Ireland,” and it remains true to this day. Located at the foot of Slieve Martin Mountain, you will be blown away by the beauty of Rostrevor and all it has to offer, from the mountainous views to the magical forest walks.
Three miles from the house, you’ll find Warrenpoint, a picturesque port town with a small promenade and the best ice cream shop you’ll find for miles around, (Check out Genoa, at The Square). Warrenpoint is steeped in history, and it’s the perfect place to visit whether you’re looking to take in the beauty of Carlingford Lough, or you want to enjoy live music in one of many independent bars.

If you want to venture out of the peaceful sanctuary of your home away from home, you’re only 9 miles from Newry. Known as the Gateway to the North, Newry stands on the Clanrye River and is located midway between Belfast and Dublin, the perfect link between the North and South. When you’re in Newry, you’re never far from scenes of breathtaking nature or from the busting shopping centres that have people travelling from all over Ireland to enjoy. This wonderful city is for everyone: whether you’re staying to experience the tranquility of the Mourne Mountains, or to take in the hustle and bustle of our renowned bars and restaurants.
